This is a simple yet challenging project at which you create a useful everyday product. In other words: this is most likely the perfect project for everyone who wants to get started in leatherworking, to which I highly encourage you!
Depending on where you buy the leather, material costs will be around 30€ to 50€ including glue and thread. However if you plan on doing more projects like this in the future I recommend you buying a whole skin (about 30€ per square meter) as it cuts your costs dramatically. I paid less than 10€ for this particular wallet in materials.
Real working time were 4 hours. If you are new, it might take a little longer. In that case I also recommend doing some sample stitches first before you move on to your final product. There are a lot of great instruction videos on youtube for beginners.

This is a kitchen knife I made for personal use. It is smaller than most chef knives but very versatile in its use.
My video may only be used as a reference of what can be done with this template.
